11 Bulls have been catalogued as lots 6 – 10 and 69 – 74  for the Highlands Droughtmaster Sale, Friday, 2nd March 2012, held at the Clermont Saleyards commencing at 10:00am sharp.

The team of bulls which consist of 5 registered and 6 commercial have been raised on Leucaena and lightly finished on a custom formulated grain ration.

6 of the bulls are by the home bred sire “Kenlogan Intruder”, 2 are by “Huntly Inferno” and the remaining 3 bulls are by Strathfield Talbot and Toronellah Chester.

The ages of the draft range from 25 – 31 mths old and the majority of the team are polled.

Andrew & Sonya focus heavily on breeding moderate frame growthy bulls coupled with good bone structure, length, tidy underlines and a slick clean coat, with temperaments that can’t be faulted. All the bulls have been worked with horses, motor bikes, dogs and are broken into electric fences.

The team have been vaccinated with: 3 Germ Blood, 3 Day, 7 in 1, Botulism. They will be semen tested and pre-treated for ticks, they have also been ear notch tested for pestivirus and are PI negative. The bulls will be muscle scanned the day before the sale.

Females

Andrew & Sonya will be releasing for the first time 3 top quality registered daughter’s from the stud’s leading sire “Criaglea Telstar”, a son of “Strathfield Telesto”. The multi show winner was reserve senior champion at the Brisbane, Rockhampton and Gympie shows. Kenlogan Stud purchased Telstar at the National Droughtmaster Sale in 2009 for $26,000.

The team of females will be catalogued as lots 100 -102 and their ages are 17 mths old, all 3 females are horned with feminine heads, tidy underlines, clean smooth coats and good bone structure with temperaments that can’t be faulted.

The females have been left unjoined for the prospective buyer to choose a sire of their choice.

The females have been vaccinated with: 3 germ blood, 7 in 1, botulism, they will be pre-treated for ticks and have been ear notch tested for pestivirus and are PI negative. The heifers have been worked with horses, motor bikes, dogs and are broken into electric fences.
